The Struggle

An eternal struggle is waged deep within -
The spiritual undefiled versus the flesh full of sin.
One force must lose for only one can win,
The struggle of mankind, around since time did begin.

These two forces fight a bitter war deep inside -
Love, charity, and humility versus hatred, greed, and pride.
The only one who can save me is the One who died -
Jesus Christ, risen from the dead and glorified!

Save me, Jesus, I can't win this fight.
Take me in Your arms, bring me to the light.
I don't want to live like this; I want to do what's right.
Save me, Jesus, make me holy in Your sight!
